Head of Marketing

We’re looking for a Head Of Marketing to develop, own and lead the execution of our agency’s marketing strategy. We believe this person should have a strong B2B marketing background and have experience marketing a services business.

As Head of Marketing, you’ll want to align your efforts with our new business activity to help meet the agencies growth targets. We’re looking to target globally distributed large enterprise clients with £1bn+ turnover that would engage us to work on ongoing programmes of work.
You’ll come up with creative initiatives to help raise awareness of our business, our work and its people – with the goal of seeing potential clients enquire and ultimately appoint us for their programme of work.

Who we have in mind

We consider this role would be suited for someone who has 7+ years B2B marketing experience and has a fair understanding of the marketing funnel in the ‘agency world’. We expect this person to have considerable knowledge of digital marketing channels, to use data to evaluate performance, and to identify opportunities to help our business grow.
We would like to speak to candidates that also have significant experience in delivering marketing campaigns for service brands, and who can think both strategically and creatively.
You would directly manage our Content and Marketing Executive who is currently delivering all of our marketing activity across channels. We also use a number of 3rd-party partners and collaborators to provide specialist marketing services for our business which you will need to oversee.
We’re looking for someone who might challenge what we’re currently doing, would put ideas forward that they’d be keen to test, and isn’t afraid to push the boundaries to create impact in a crowded market.

What you would be responsible for:

  • Owning the marketing strategy and aligning it with our business goals.
  • Identifying opportunities to establish and promote our brand.
  • Bringing creative concepts and ideas into our marketing mix.
  • Crafting strategies, messaging and defining positioning of campaigns.
  • Collaborating with our cross-functional teams to ensure we’re representing them within our marketing effort.
  • Working closely with the design team to ensure that all marketing collateral is on brand.
  • Finding relevant partnership opportunities and driving quality exposure to our target audience.
  • Managing our marketing budget and finding efficiencies in how we deliver campaigns.
  • Reporting on marketing activities, campaign results, and attributing effectiveness of campaigns across channels.
  • Tracking latest marketing trends and competitor positioning.
  • Providing materials to enable the new business team to function effectively.
  • Building our database of contacts.
  • Managing, sharing knowledge and providing guidance to our Content and Marketing executive.

What experience you might have…

  • You have run successful marketing campaigns in the B2B space that have delivered tangible results.
  • You have solid knowledge of web analytics and tracking tools to measure effectiveness.
  • You have experience with digital marketing tools and techniques, such as SEO, PPC, paid social, e-mail marketing, CRM software.
  • You have strong project management skills to oversee multiple streams of work.
  • You can clearly communicate your ideas and vision to both your immediate team who will help you pull together collateral materials and the senior management team.
  • You have a proven ability to plan and manage budgets.
  • You have an established black book of media and PR contacts in our sector, or know how to garner media interest.
